Build Your List Using Squidoo

I know your asking what is Squidoo. In this article you are going to learn what squidoo is and how to use it to drive traffic to your site.

In October of 2005 Author, Speaker and Blogger Seth Godin founded Squidoo. Squidoo is a network of user generated pages which they call lenses. Currently one of the top 500 sites that are closely tracked by Alexa.

When you create a lense you fill it with your own topics, views or recommendations on just about any subject you like.

How to Use Squidoo to drive Traffic.

Follow these easy steps:

Create your Squidoo Account. Build your lense. Create a link to your site.

To Create your Squidoo Account you will go to http://www.squidoo.com. Click on the signup button at the top.

It is easy to design you page using Squidoo as they have a modular design. The basic modules are You Tube Videos, Text list, Orbitz, Text/Write, RSS, Link List, Google Blog Search, Guest Book, Flickr photos, Del.ico.us bookmarks, and Ebay.

There are other categories which contain additional modules. Plexo, New!, Money and Search A-Z

Squidoo is very different from other sites as you will get to share in the money made from adsense or any of the modules you setup on your lense. You can give your share to charity, split it and give a portion to charity and a portion to youself, or keep it all for yourself.

I haven't tested it but I read that if you share your money with charity you will get a better ranking. We are not really building the page for money but rather to drive traffic so we will continue on.

To get the link back to your site you can use the write module or include it in your introduction. You might think about using a free report to draw them to click.

When your all done your lense will look similar to the one I setup. While you're taking a look why not rank my squidoo page. You do this by clicking on the stars that say your rank. 5 stars is the best. You will see that this ranking system is how you can get your site viewed more. The better your site ranking the higher you get listed in the squidoo search system.

You can raise this ranking by sending people to come and rank your lense just as I have asked you to rank mine. Also you can join groups within the squidoo system to help promote your lense.

With a Alexa Ranking of 487 having a page on squidoo will most certainly get listed in the search engines.
