Introduced in January of 2006, the AA Turbo Charger; soon to be called Extend A Charge, has helped thousands of people. The company that developed the product gave marketing rights to a new company called AATCM.

Building on the success of the Extend A Charge, several exclusive and unique products have been added to the product line. This article, however will deal solely with the Extend A Charge cell phone charger.

What is the Extend A Charge? Why is it so popular? To answer that question, you need to know what needs it fulfills.

Wherever you go today, cell phones have become a part of life(for better or worse). At one time or other, most cell phone users have experienced a dead or dying battery. If your like most people that I know, the charger is always at home or in the other car. Sometimes they may have the correct cell phone charger with them, but have no place to plug it in. This happens on trains, busses, taxis and many other places. How many people carry their plug-in cell phone charger with them? The Extend A Charge has patented circuitry that delivers the correct voltage for charging and is guaranteed not to damage the phone battery. An unregulated voltage supplied to the phone would cause damage.

When the Extend A Charge system was developed, people no longer had to rely on the bulky charger that came with the phone. Now they had a device that fit into a shirt pocket. It is no larger than a tube of lipstick. Complete with 10 cell phone adapters, most of the cell phones on the market can be charged with this device. All that is required is one AA battery to supply power. AA batteries are readily available everywhere, so a source of power is always available. The Extend A Charge can use a lithium battery, alkaline battery or Nickel-Metal Hydride. Rechargeable batteries are the most economical. Simply keep a fully charged back-up and switch it when you need to. Then bring it home when you are done and re-charge it.

The appeal of the Extend A Charge should be obvious. Distributors have found it difficult to keep in stock because of their popularity. Very shortly, an Ipod adapter will be available to power the Ipods that almost everyone seems to own these days. The only way to charge an Ipod was to plug it into the USB port of a computer(not always available) or use a docking station which is not very practical to carry around.

Because of these features, the Extend A Charge has become an overnight sensation. Additional cell phone adapters are being made available so that almost every cell phone on the market can use the Extend A Charge. The simplicity of the system makes it a must have for anyone with a cell phone.

If you have ever been caught with a dead cell phone, you know how useful such as device can be. Using the Extend A Charge couldn't be easier. Simply plug one end of the appropriate adapter into the phone and the other end into the charger. When the blue LED lights up, your phone is charging. That's all there is to it.
