Hot Tubs and The Benefits of Hydromassage

There are three factors at work in a spa: heat, buoyancy and massage. Together, they create a relaxing, soothing experience.

Immersion in hot water raises the body temperature and causes the blood vessels to dilate, increasing circulation. The buoyancy of the water reduces body weight by approximately 90%, which relieves pressure on joints and muscles and creates the relaxing sensation of weightlessness.

The massaging action of a spa is created by sending a mixture of warm water and air through jet nozzles. This "energized" stream of water loosens tight muscles and stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers.

Hot Tubs from HotSpring Spas feature a variety of different water jets that have different benefits to the body;

SOOTHING SEVEN® JETS
A Hot Spring® spa exclusive. Each jet's seven outlets broadcast a large volume of water. Positioned side by side, they provide gentle treatment to your shoulders and upper back.

MOTO-MASSAGE® DX JET
Imagine two warm streams of water sweeping up and down the entire length of your back, soothing overworked muscles and loosening all the little knots of tension. With just a slight shift of your body, the warm stream glides easily over the muscles on either side of your spine. Another Hot Spring spa exclusive.

QUARTET® JET SYSTEM
Stress and tension melt away as four Precision® jets, located above each Moto-Massage jet, work like an extra set of hands to massage and relax your neck and shoulders.

HYDROMASSAGE JETS
Powerful but not punishing, these jets have a directional nozzle with a flow-enhancing design for maximum performance. The interchangeable dual-port rotary nozzle creates a V-shaped pattern of water for a pulsating massage.

JET-CLUSTER™ SYSTEMS
For a full back massage, our exclusive Jet-Cluster hydromassage systems target specific muscle groups. Ten Precision jets (upper right) perform like the fingers of a masseuse on your back and shoulders with a soft, yet penetrating feel, unlike conventional mini-jets which soon wear out their welcome.
And three Hydromassage jets (lower right) work the upper and lower back.

JETSTREAM® JET
Aching lower back pain needs the extra power of a JetStream jet. It's an invigorating, directional whirlpool jet that's twice as powerful as a Hydromassage jet, offering fast relief.

FOOTWELL® SYSTEM
After a long day on your feet, nothing feels better than the invigorating massage of our FootWell system. While other spas typically only use standard hydromassage or mini-jets, the FootWell system uses the power of our JetStream jet to provide a maximum-strength foot massage.

Of course, a spa offers much more than just a good hydromassage. It's also your own private retreat that leaves you feeling mentally and emotionally refreshed. Fifteen minutes in the morning can awaken and revive you. And a soak before bedtime can make it easier to drift into a deep, restful sleep. A spa is something you'll want to experience every day.
