Traffic Tactics Part 2

Traffic is the one thing that every website needs to succeed and that is why I am writing this article and many more to come as it will hopefully help you to generate more traffic to your website and help you to succeed with your site.

I would like to tell you about one very easy and powerful methods of site promotion and traffic generation today and I hope you take action today and start implementing this method to generate traffic.

The method I would like to tell you about is writing articles. Writing articles is a very easy thing to do and can generate large amounts of traffic to your website if done well. When you write an article, remember that you are not trying to promote your site only but also to help the reader and provide the reader with very useful and quality information. You want to help the reader and solve a problem for them.

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of article directories out there that will accept your article and publish it on their website for anyone to view and you will find that the better your article is, the more people will get to see it as other webmasters and marketers are allowed to come along and pick up your article for their website or ezine. If you write a good quality article and many webmasters use it for their sites then you will gain much more traffic from it.

If you feel that you are not the best writer, well, don't worry as I am not the best writer either but I still manage to write and distribute around four or five articles a week. You only need to write around six hundred words to have an acceptable size of an article.

Here are a few tips to help you write effective articles:

Come up with a good, catchy title. The title is the part that entices people to read your article and should also let them know what your article is about.

Provide quality information and not just something thrown together in five minutes. The quality of your article will determine how many places publish it and will also how the reader perceives you and your business.

Have a call to action in your resource box. When I say that, I mean that you want to give the reader a good reason to visit your website. You want the reader to feel happy about visiting your site and also let them know that they can benefit from visiting it.

Write to the best of your ability. This one is obvious but I often see articles that look as though they have simply been thrown together in a matter of minutes and I know that they will not be as effective for the author as a good one would.

Writing articles is a very useful site promotion method and is one that I highly recommend. It is not hard to write an article and can be done in less than half an hour. If you want to get a feel of how to write articles then you can visit some of the directories and start reading. Study which ones you think are the best and which ones you enjoyed reading the most and just write in the same way.

The more articles you write and distribute, the more traffic you will get. The best thing about this type of traffic generation is that it is long term as your article will be in the directories forever and if other webmasters publish your article on their website, then it will more than likely stay there forver too.

Create a good title, provide useful information and give the reader a good benefit for visiting your website and that's it, you have an article to get out there, so get writing and start promoting your business.
