  • Why You Need a Life Coach  By : Kurt Schmitt...
What's a life coach? Also called a life skills coach, having a coach is essentially like having a personal trainer for your life. Often working by phone consultation, and more rarely, in person, personal coaches work to help you improve various areas of your personal and business life.
  • The Concept of Balanced Success  By : Vivek Ray
What is success? For different people success will mean different things. In this material world success is often equated with money one has and the kind of lifestyle one affords. Normally a person who lives in a big house or drives a fancy car or holds a good position in his office appears to be successful in the eyes of the world Success for most is achieving goals that gives them joy or pleasure. But unfortunately these achievements give short lived joy and this feeling of success is often a delusion. It is like a mirage after which the person runs and eventually forgets the very reason for which he is running.

In order to live a life of true success, it is vital that success is explained. Life has so many facets, and each of them is important to us. What will a person do with a lot of money, if he looses his peace of mind and health, gets away from his family and friend, feels in- secured, and ultimately unhappy? Of course, this can not be termed as success.
  • Be Content, Not Satisfied  By : Vivek Ray
Success is not permanent. The achievement, you are feeling happy about will not mean a thing to you tomorrow. You must have taken some journeys when you were young. You must have felt good when a milestone passed as you looked out of the window, and a moment later you were looking forward to next. But were you still excited about the journey you had just taken when you reached the destination?
  • Life is a Lemon  By : Vivek Ray
Squeeze a lemon, and it will produce a juice, too harsh to be palatable. But it forms the basis for lemonade, the world’s oldest refreshing drink. Like a lemon, life is full of sour things. It is full of challenges, hardships, pain and suffering. But in all this is hidden the seeds of greatest achievements, happiness and success. Life at times can even be cruel, but that is what makes it worth living.
  • Are You A Real Positive Thinker  By : Vivek Ray
Over years I realized that simply thinking positively will not accomplish anything. The kind of positive thinking that a lot of people talk about is in a way denial of reality. It is great to think positive and speak positive. But what it can accomplish if it is not supported by the ability and skill. I am 34, and have never played football in my life. It does not matter how positive I think or speak, I can not become a professional footballer at this age.

I am a firm believer that there is no greater self-help or self-exploration tool than a journal. That’s right—a simple blank book and a pen can help you manifest millions of dollars. It can help you identify goals. It can ease emotional pain or grief. It can transport you back in time. The journal is a physical manifestation of the contents within your own mind and heart. In this article, I am going to list some basic techniques and guidelines to follow when journaling.
  • She is a Perfectionist  By : Robert Elias Najemy
Marina’s perfectionism annoys her husband, Dan.

Marina cannot relax if whatever she does is not perfect. Of course, nothing is ever perfect and thus Marina is usually in a very tense state. This attachment creates for her anxiety, fear, and a continual sense of danger.

This tension is transferred to her husband, Dan, who cannot understand why it takes Marina so long to do something, and why is it so important for her to do it over and over. He believes she is wasting her life away on details and losing the essence.

She, on the other hand, is usually angry with him because he does pay enough attention to details, which are important to her, especially when it pertains to order and cleanliness.

He feels suppressed by her constant nagging and is annoyed by her habitual tardiness. She is angry with him because he does not help her, and he is in angry with her because she is causing him to waste time in details that are not important.

  • The Genius of Persistence  By : Saleem Rana
Every time we plug an appliance into the wall, it’s because he figured electricity out for us. His incandescent bulb changed our world.
He literally spread the light of his genius around the world.

    Thomas Alva Edison.

150 years have passed since he was born.

What is the most remarkable thing about him is that he was not the most technically brilliant mind of his time.

In fact, Nikola Tesla considered him rather dim.

Here is his comment on Edison. If Edison had a needle to find in a haystack, he would proceed at once with the diligence of the bee to examine straw after straw until he found the object of his search...
I was a sorry witness of such doings, knowing that a little theory and calculation would have saved him ninety per cent of his labor.''

Nor was this mere abuse. Those who knew Tesla and his work were astonished. On May 18, 1917, at an AIEE annual meeting, B.A. Behrend made this laudatory poem: Nature and Nature's laws lay hid in night:
    God said...

  • The Prerequisites for Becoming a Life Coach  By : Robert Elias Najemy
If we really want to help people regardless of our credentials whether as a psychologist, counselor, life coach, doctor or friend we will need to as much as possible embody the following (we are using the word subject in the place of the words patient or client):

    1. Care for the other and sincerely desire to help him or her. The subject will feel if we really care or not.

    2. Accept whatever we hear and have an open mind. We must be able to hear that the other has murdered someone without judging him. The degree to which the other can open himself is dependent on how accepting he perceives us.

    3. See what others call evil as weakness and ignorance and fear rather than as evil. Ignorance and misinterpretation of our true nature leads to a wide variety of ego-centered and often destructive behaviors.

    4. Study and understand the functioning of the mind by observing ourselves and others and by studying what already has been discovered by the sciences of psychology, sociology...

  • Abilities, Talents and Powers  By : Robert Elias Najemy
We all have abilities and powers that we have not yet developed. Many of us seem to subconsciously block the development of these natural abilities, which are waiting within us for a chance to express themselves. Our happiness and self-fulfillment depends on our expressing our inner potential as much as possible. Let us investigate how we can liberate ourselves from these limitations and express our full potential, for the sake of ourselves and the society around us.

There is one creative power in the universe and it expresses itself through all beings. Each and every being on the earth is an instrument for the expression of this universal creative energy, which is being expressed through all of nature unconsciously, and through man, to a certain extent, consciously. That is, the personality is becoming conscious of this creative energy and identifies with it. The following example will help us to understand the personality’s role in this creative process.
  • Island of Dreams  By : Saleem Rana
I’m going to give you a trivial example to illustrate something huge.

Apply this tip and you’ll step into a transformation.

I’m promising you this because it happened to me.

For years now, I’ve had, as my desktop, a picture of a white colonial mansion set in a verdant green garden.

This symbolized prosperity for me. Tradition, security, and spacious and gracious living.

One day, however, I got impatient with it, sifted through what other images I had on my hard-drive and discovered a breathtaking island scene…sparkling waters, a painted swatch of cerulean blue sprinkled with sapphire, a golden, sun-drenched island with languid palm trees rustling in the wind, and a massive white sailing ship cutting through the water, heading straight for the island.

Now whenever I sit in front of my computer, I feel the pull of my dreams even stronger—a life of beauty and elegance, achievement, contribution, and even joy.
  • How We Evaluate Ourselves  By : Robert Elias Najemy
We need to understand how we value ourselves and hopefully heal ourselves from an epidemic of self-doubt and self-rejection.

We are spirit which is eternal and divine. Being divine in nature there is no question about our worthiness. As spirit we are "encased" in the personality, which is our temporary projection into the physical and mental dimensions. This personality is encased in a circle of beliefs, which define and limit it. These basic beliefs mature and manifest as needs and motives in the life of the personality. These needs and motives then generate various efforts towards certain goals (material, emotional, mental, social, professional, spiritual etc.).

We make efforts towards the satisfaction of some need or goal. At each stage of this effort certain results are forthcoming. We identify with these results and are very attached to them, because through them we measure our worthiness.
